Nancy Montgomery is the founder and president of Haverim.org, a non-denominational, non-profit organization created to support Israel and advance understanding and friendship between Christians and Jews. The ministry was birthed through her calling to Christian broadcasting more than 30 years ago. In her earlier years, she used her air time to generate programs which were focused on Israel, as well as to foster goodwill between the two groups. In 1986, Montgomery was asked by the Government Affairs Committee of Ohio’s Jewish Communities to serve as a Christian liaison to key point cities across Ohio. Her purpose was to find Christian support for the worldwide Jewish effort to free Soviet Jews. This work was affectionately dubbed, Haverim, a Hebrew word meaning “friends.” In 1995, Haverim became a 501c3 non-profit organization, founded to continue the mission on a broader level, and to launch and support a new radio program by the same name. Her Haverim Radio broadcasts have aired in numerous states across America, as well as in locations as far away as Australia. This radiocast was just one of hundreds of programs which have been written, produced and hosted by the author.
In addition to Haverim, God’s calling on Montgomery’s life has fostered many long-lasting connections between like-minded Christian and Jewish organizations, such as with “International Christian Embassy Jerusalem”, “Bridges for Peace” and “Voices United for Israel,” as well as with members of the Embassy of Israel in Washington, D.C.. It has also moved her to become a member and advocate for other Faith-based ministries which include: Christian Friends of Israeli Communities, The Evangelical Sisterhood of Mary, the National Council of Catholic Women, the National Council of Religious Broadcasters, and Aglow International.
Nancy lives in Ohio. The Israel Letters is her first book.
